CPA Ireland Good bookkeeping is the foundation everything else sits on. When your books are current, your VAT is easy, your year-end is cheaper, and you always know where the business stands. When they are a shoebox in December, everything costs more.
We run your bookkeeping in the cloud so you can photograph a receipt from the van and forget about it. We reconcile the bank, code every transaction, and give you a tidy trial balance each month. No need to drive anywhere.

Bookkeeping: your questions answered
What does a bookkeeper actually do?
A bookkeeper records and organises every financial transaction your business makes: sales, purchases, bank movements, and expenses. That keeps your accounts accurate and up to date, which makes your VAT returns, tax, and year-end accounts faster and cheaper to produce.
How much does bookkeeping cost in Ireland?
Our bookkeeping starts at €150 per month for up to 100 transactions, fixed and quoted upfront. Busier businesses with more transactions are priced accordingly. Many clients combine bookkeeping with VAT and payroll for one simple monthly fee.
Which accounting software do you use?
We work with Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage, the three most widely used cloud packages in Ireland. If you already use one, we work in it. If you are starting fresh, we recommend the one that fits how you work and set it up for you.
Do I still need to keep receipts?
Yes, Revenue requires you to keep records for six years, but you no longer need paper. Snap a photo of each receipt with your phone and it attaches to the transaction in the cloud. The shoebox can finally retire.
Can you fix books that are behind or in a mess?
Absolutely. We regularly take on businesses whose books have fallen behind, rebuild them, and bring them current. Once they are tidy, our monthly service keeps them that way so the panic never returns.
